Former Gov. Bill Haslam, former U.S. Sen. Bill Frist and former U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp are each members of a national bipartisan council that issued a statement Thursday calling on the Trump administration to begin cooperating with Biden as president-elect.
“There was no fraud in this country that can actually swing the election, not even close,” said Wamp, a member of the 40-member National Council on Election Integrity. “The sooner Republicans accept these facts, the better off we’ll all be.”
Frist, the Senate’s former majority leader, earlier in the day shared well wishes for the former vice president, tweeting “Congratulations to President-elect Biden” and that it’s “time to start the processes needed for a smooth and efficient transition.”
