Republicans, Democrats and independents are all involved in administering Michigan’s election at the local level, said Trey Grayson, Kentucky’s Republican former secretary of state.
Grayson noted many workers have been doing the job for a “long time,” including Michigan’s 2016 election that Trump won by 10,704 votes, his smallest margin of victory nationally.
“I think Michiganders and Americans should have faith in the count,” said Grayson, a member of the bipartisan National Council on Election Integrity, which has been running ads in Michigan and other battleground states about the upcoming election.
