With a record number of people voting early and by mail-in ballot, it may take longer than usual before we know the result, and that’s ok. America is one of the oldest continuous democracies in the world, and has held successful elections through good times and bad, and this November will be no different even if it means we may have to be a little patient while election officials do their job. That’s why in the lead up to the election, Global Citizen is supporting Count Every Vote and the National Council on Election Integrity, to encourage as many people as possible to pledge to urge friends, family, candidates, and the media to be patient, to use their voice and platforms responsibly, and to do their part to ensure a fair and accurate vote count.
